This olfactory expression was created in response to conversations and observations with smell walkers at Samford Ecological Research Facility (SERF) in 2022. In particular, the work responds to one of the participants in-depth explanation of the unique blossoming nature of the Australian bush. She noted that wattle flowers are particularly prominent at SERF. On that day, it was also raining, so the combination of petrichor and wattle flowers was intense and beautiful - it was challenging to recreate, but I tried my best nonetheless.
