Corymbia gummifera - common name red bloodwood - endemic to Eastern Austalia
This fragrance was created from sap collected from the ground surrounding Corymbia gummifera or red bloodwood trees in my neighbourhood. The Corymbia gummifera tree at Samford Ecological Research Facilty garnered the attention of many smellwalkers during my time onsite and was thus worthy of archiving.
The sap itself has an warm, earthy, sweet, sticky, woody, vanilla-like scent which I replicated in the fragrance.
